the winner of this becomes executive chef in ramsay's new restaurant.

i reckon ramsay's shitting bricks at the amazing lack of cooking talent of the
contestants. if i went to my local cafe and saw one of them behind the stove
i'd find somewhere else to eat.

actually contrary to the statements on the show and the pr machine behind it,
the winner will be a senior sous chef. he/ she will have no real authority over
the menu nor final say in the kitchen.

quote from wikipedia

"the winner will be installed as a "senior sous chef" with a $250,000 salary at
gordon ramsay at the london west hollywood[3][4] - not an executive chef role
mentioned in publicity or press releases. [5] the london west hollywood opened
may 27, 2008, while the series was still in progress."

this makes sense considering the incompetent people that they seek out for this
program. i was a chef for many years and never came upon such idiocy. a
deliberate marketing ploy to entertain viewers.

agreed, that this season has the most useless chefs, and its ironic this year
its for gordon's own restaurant.

does anyone know how many episodes are left in this series?

i know it may be slightly obvious considering its an elimination show, but i
wondered if there will be a finale with the winner.

perhaps originally they were going to be the executive chef until ramsay
discovered the poor quality of the talent he had to work with.

now he\'s sticking them into a relatively minor position where they can\'t
really stuff anything up
