closing a door and getting some sand counts as rather slow/boring storylines in my book too. so i'm
totally with you. it's still quite engrossing though so i'm willing to give it another 10 episodes
or so to see if anything actually happens.
sad to say - story line from the get go has lacked style, flare and good character base. the pilot to stargate & atlantis was
enthralling and riveting and we desired the next episode. sgu's first episode had me wondering why they chose those
characters at all and even paused it to do other stuff and came back the next day to finish the episode. episode 2 about a
guy going a little nuts in the sand dunes really isn't what a storyboard writer should have even put up on that little white
board of theirs, let alone shoot and air the episode.
if this doesn't match the past experience of sg-1 or atlantis. i feel the sci-fi universe might start looking else where for
the next battlestar galactica, deep space nine etc. maybe caprica will fill the shoes that sgu doesn't seem to be able to do
atm.
the thoughts of a disappointed stargate lifetime fan...

the only shoes caprica will fill is the ones that secretly want to watch 90210 or greys anatomy, but
disguised as a sci-fi because it's on another planet 150 000 years ago
