ever resourceful, wiki says the first season is planned to consist of 20 episodes. and creator/producer
brad wright is hopeful that the show will last three or more seasons.

agreed. this show needs to lift its game already. right now i'm willing the ship to malfunction and
accidentally flush them all out an airlock. except for eli. that guy's alright. but the rest of

in principle i would agree with you all as i also hate the pace it is going at. must be the recesion or lack
of vision, i dont know.
but.
they said before announcing this show to the public it is going to be this dull character based show
put in sg world but it will not be an action packed show reminiscent to sg-1 or atlantis.
think of it as a space drama put in sg world. its economically more sound for them and doable. better
than
having no sg world show at all.

i used to be a real fan of stargate, both sg-1 and atlantis. never missed an episode. but here, why
on earth did they put melrose place on a starship? i am keeping downloading, maybe as an habit,
maybe because i hope it will finally take off, but i am definitely thinking of quiting. well, sgu
seems like a good cure against addiction, at least.

im deffinitely holding my breath as i liked the jungle planet episode.
i just hope to see some big enemy by mid season.
plot: the first ship (the one cruising before this one setting up all those stargates) should encounter
reminants or signs of devastation by some race/empire thats dominant in this galaxy corner. then the
team will be finding this tidbits of info with each jump, leading to the disclosure or meeting with these
aliens.
but since this show didnt figure out how to take controll of the ship yet, and didnt figure out how to get
more people from earth yet, their numbers are limited and it would be insane of us to expect some allout
action where more people onboard would die.
but in the future i certainly see potential where this show might venture.
i just hope to see some big enemy by mid season.

i just checked the episode guide for this show... and its not looking good. i'm so freaking
disappointed at this series it's like some b - class soap opera and from the looks of it it's gonna
stay that way. how long will this series last? 1 season tops.

well sadly after watching this episode i have given up on this series. i will usually give a show 5
or 6 episodes to hook me, i gave universe 9 because it had the stargate banner. this is not
stargate in any way shape or form, i gather they just used the name to attract an audience, but in
doing so they have imho destroyed the franchise.
i'll be reading comments from future episodes in hopes that something changes, but i seriously doubt
it will. it's too bad, i was skeptical from the start but even my skepticism wasn't as bad as this
turned out. i just expected a younger crew but the same ideals as we have come to expect from
stargate teams, didn't like the concept but thought it could be enjoyable. instead we got a drama
in space not even a good drama at that. there isn't a single character i give a darn about, it
wouldn't matter to me one bit if they were all killed off and replaced, come to think if it, that
would actually be worth watching.

zapperz, surely it's got more chance being a different series, sg1 & atlantis both got cancelled...
what would be the point rehashing them with a younger team - you might as well get fox to sign the
series.
