haven't watched it yet, but a quick check shows that between 14:00 and 16:00, nothing out of the
ordinary is visible, not even a tiny flickering or anything that would indicate an encoding error.
i am having the same problem. i tried to use different viewers but the only one i manager to make it
work was windows media player classic. i am using windows 7 64 bits... any clue of how to fix it
without having to use this alternate player will be appreciated :-)
judging from the above posts, i would guess that an outdated xvid codec might be the problem.
i use the combination mpc-hc and ffdshow, as installed by cccp --- no problems here, even though i
rarely check for updates so it might not even be the latest cccp.
other mpc users seem to have no problems either.
vlc seems to have no problems.
wmp users seem to have a problem.
since i use ffdshow i can't be sure, but i think mpc has a builtin xvid-decoder. vlc definitely has
xvid built in, since afaik they don't even support directshow. wmp, on the other had, most certainly
does not have builtin xvid support which means it's probably the only player of the lot that uses an
installed xvid codec for playback, causing me to guess that whatever standalone xvid codec has been
installed might be outdated.
i then played it on the computer. i am running windows 7 and tried to play it in media player.
i am using divx, the latest version. the whole thing plays beautifully untill 14.57 in when it dies me.
but i just found it runs in winamp on the computer
this file has similar problem to previous releases from xii. a quick fix is to use virtualdub
(windows) or avidemux (osx), just open the file and let it rebuild index and unpack vob if asked and
save the file again (direct copy of video and audio - no need for re-encoding). will work fine on
xbox afterwords. enjoy!
