just thought id mention how i remove the problem. load the file in avidemux, rebuild index and
choose copy on both video and audio stream and then hit save. takes maybe 30secs on my computer.
quick and easy fix for those who cant get mkvmerge solution to work.
as balu is saying i think there is a glitch in the file. i fixed the episode 5 using the mkvmerge program on
my mac. it's all good using quick time and an addon to read the mkv files.
"mkvmerge mkvfilename.mkv --compression 2:none -o outputnamefile.mkv" (if my memory is good)
but this one seems to have a glitch because i can't read it. my addon cache the entire mkv in advance ...
and like at 40% it crashes because of the glitch. there are 780 non-ac3 bytes in the ac3 track (track 2) as
mkvmerge say in a warning when i remove the compression the ac3 track so i can heard the sound. even
without removing the sound compression i have the same issue.
there's no proper or repack that i'm aware of (which doesn't mean much), and i didn't notice
anything --- which means xbmc could feed the presumably defective ac3 to the receiver and the
receiver could play the presumably defective ac3 without blowing up or even adding a noise-spike bad
enough to notice.
i could try feeding it to mpc-hc on the other box to try its software decoding, but none of you
mentioned the time index :-)
(btw the last 18 minutes were out of sync (sound / video) by 3-4 sec... look likes it doesn't worked out
correctly after a commercial cut ... before that everything was all good)
