i just watched it and i have to admit that i don't know yet if it lives up to the hype.
the scenes are gorgeous, it feels like a good story but i don't know, the show had 1:12 to drag me
in and make me want more but i didn't feel like it did a good job but it didn't do a bad job either.
some critic mentioned that he had watched 6 episodes of the show and has yet to decide if it's good
or not and i can understand why, it feels like a good representation of the era (like mad men) but
it doesn't engage me (unlike mad men) at the same time.
i don't know, i'll watch the next 2 episodes and decide if it's good or not but right off the bat,
i'd have to say it's not as good as i expected. that's just my opinion, of course.
yes! it lives up to its hype! steve buscemi is fantastic! the right blend of anger, boldness, wit and
dry-humor.
unfortunately, i'm not a fan of 1920s whining, scretching music, but the show is a "10" for me despite
that fact. it's a necessary evil to set the tone.
