ppl like you make me laugh.... i mean how the hell can you judge a show and see how its going to
turn out when you have not even watched it... moron.... and you use lost as one of your examples????
the show was good if you actually watched it and the bloody show made it to the end and never got
canceled, just goes to show how much you think you know..... absolutly bloody nothing.

keep your comments too yourself unless the comment is telling ppl whatthe show is like because you
have watched it not your thoughts on something you have not watched yet.

this first episode is pretty much a longer version of the "what is the event?" promo that came out a
couple of months ago (about 7 minutes long iirc) and doesn't tell you much more than that preview
did... just expands on the different scenarios and ends at roughly the same point. am guessing now
we've been "caught up" future episodes won't need the mish-mash timeline approach... if it doesn't
then it won't last long imo. in fact it better have a decent "reveal" in ep 2 or that's as far as
i'm going but i'll give it that much.

gonna give this some time to develop but it isn't exactly hitting any of the right targets at the
moment. the first episode was a convoluted piece of crap and if you've seen any of the promo pieces
the just skip the last minute or so. you won't miss anything.

all that said, this could be interesting.

flash forward, persons unknown, traveler, need i go on? if you are having trouble understanding
while people assume this show has no chance....i just gave you three examples......the first two
shows listed were actually pretty good......i can't blame anyone for not wanting to take a chance on
anything else "conspiracy" related coming down the pipe. if these shows didn't make it......how
could something even further after the fact be that good?

paraphrased from wikipedia; some dude investigating the disappearance of this girlfriend discovers
the biggest cover-up in united states history. this show appears to be attempting to re-tool the
"conspiracy, thriller genre" for a less sophisticated audience. simple, easy to follow. so in this
regard, perhaps this show will find more success. if the only thing people have to invest of
themselves is time, it has a better chance. it's when you ask your audience to actually do a little
thinking and leave things up to the viewer decide that things go wrong. most people can't handle
that. they need to be told exactly what to do and what to think. this has become a 100 percent truth.

the inability of many people to both comprehend and process complex thought amazes me.

also, i'd like to add....it would be a prudent decision on many of your behalves to avoid referring
to other people as "idiots" and in general, insulting people's intelligence. when you substitute
numbers for words and abbreviate others, you're probably not going to be able to win an argument.

honestly... i just wasted 40 minutes of my life watching a tv show that stretched a 5 minute plane scene
into a boring lump shit to take up an hour time slot. i mean really, did we really need to know all the stuff
they showed us? did we really need to start at the end, jump to the beginning, back to the end, then to the
middle, back to the beginning a couple more times, then to the middle one more time, and then the end,
middle, end. lol.

also: with the build of up all the boring scenes.. i was expecting there to be at least a big bang at the end!
i guess a computer generated ball of light... was more in their budget range?

i liked the idea of this show, but they really could have done a better job putting it all together. if the
second episode isn't any better i can bet this show wont even make it to mid-season before the plug is
pulled.

this needs work.

there's no real flow in how this episode is pieced together. it jumps backwards and forwards too
much for its own good. that's not to say it's hard to follow - as nothing much actually happens -
but it does make watching it frustrating, when i'm sure it could quite easily have worked in a much
more linear fashion, without all the annoying little jumps showing you the same thirty seconds of
footage over and over again.

i'll give it another couple of episodes probably, but if the editing doesn't get better then i will
eventually give up.

also the first thirty seconds is appallingly bad.

okay, we dissers got dissed for our terseness. fair enough. most here like to compare new shows with
others they liked or disliked. i'm a harsh critic of the majority of shows whenever the writing is
pathetic and predictable or the acting is wooden.

on comparing this show to lost. this is a poor man's lost, a knock off if you will. with lost the
viewers immediately connected with the characters. some of it was because of the writing. mostly it
was the acting and direction, and lost's production values were excellent. lost lost me when the
writing tried to become the story and they overused a device of presenting a question to the
audience, having a character recognize the need to ask the question, ask the question and then be
ignored for weeks, all in order to build tension. to do this once or twice can be intriguing, but to
make the show about how many conflicting phantasmagorical events can be thrown into this goulash
without any answers, destroyed the emotional connections and the humanity of the characters. on top
of that there was a consistent inconsistency - the characters were trying to kill everyone one week
and benevolent friendlies the next with neither rhyme nor reason for it. yes, most of the questions
were answered in the end but by that time who cared? i didn't. jmho.

this show has wooden characters, terrible directing, and the show is bankrupt of human feelings and
emotions mostly because of the awkward direction... and acting... and writing - telling, not
showing, and not really doing that very well. the story didn't work for me. there wasn't a single
character i connected with. the story itself was about the perfect young couple on vacation, no it
was about the president, no it was about an attack on the president, no it was about a secret
everyone knew about except the president. exciting stuff... not. at the end of the first episode
(spoiler alert) a commercial airliner is about to wipe out the president's lawn party when it
disappears into a black hole. wow. can you feel the excitement in the air?

yay! it has vampires !!!

...just kidding

this show has so many flashbacks and cuts it'll make confused as an old lady:
- now, who is that young man, do we know him? is he the same guy that did that thing? have i seen
this before? ... an so on
and on top of that they are trying waaay to hard to set a certain mood. -> there is nothing like
tires screeching on dirt and grass to make a chase scene more dramatic...

i for one will keep watching cuz it has wormholes.... i miss quantum leap

ok, admittedly i have only watched the first episode (as have most other people!), but was it with nbc
and their ability to pick shows with huge mistakes/plot shortcomings
