let me start off saying that i'm not into courtroom drama but i am trying to watch at least the
first episode of all the new shows this season that i don't think will stink (lone star didn't make
the cut, sorry) so when i saw this one i kind of cringed but hey, i like maura tierney and i haven't
watched a courtroom show in a while so i gave it a go.
i liked it, the whole setup with the points of view of the defense and the accusation was a
different premise and i thought it was well done. it does feel rushed at times - it's two shows in
one so time is split 1/3 defense, 1/3 accusation and 1/3 is the trial itself - but, what i usually
dislike about other courtroom shows, the clear division of "good" and "bad" attorneys is gone from
this show so it really is different.
the cast feels right and it's nice to see a few familiar faces and i think there's lots of
individual stories to tell but i think the show might be short on time for any deep single-episode
delving into anyone's lives. then again, they might have a show all about the defense attorneys and
only have the accusation there for the trial, who knows.
oh, one thing i intensely disliked was the last scene - come on, was that really necessary? does
the audience really need to know the whole truth... oh wait... i guess it makes sense, scratch that,
in context, it wasn't a kick in the nuts after all. :d
i'm not going to follow it though, while i liked the premise and the ways it might go, i'm not into
courtroom dramas but i can clearly see the appeal it might have to fans of the genre.

all of a sudden my bit torrent client (transmission) says it can't find any peers. so i can't get
this torrent download started. my earlier torrents are still seeding, but new ones like this won't
start. i tried adding some other trackers (only knew of a couple) but that didn't work -- still 0
peers. any suggestions?
