i watched this 4 part series when it first aired on the bbc and thought it was wonderful. you don\'t
need to be a mathematician or even particularly interested in maths to find this history of the
subject and its most influential practitioners, interesting, entertaining and passionately presented
viewing. this is the type of documentary the beeb does best - well worth a download.
