anyone who's watched this and the pre-air from a few weeks back... can you tell me if there are any
differences (eg. was the pre-air lacking final effects)
it's not bad. i'll give it 3 or 4 shows to decide. think live action "the incredibles". acting's
pretty solid, and the cgi is good - it's all down to the writing and how that holds up.
this was better than i thought it would be, out of all the new shows this was the most entertaining
and looking forward to more, hope its not another eli stone.
i liked it too. ...but i just seems to me, to be a more up-front "heroes". i will continue to watch
it, but hope it doesn't lose my interest like heroes did.
19 minutes in and i'm lovin' it - julie benz is lovely to look at and it's nice to see her in a
powerful role after dexter.
i'll write more when i'm done with the episode.
edit... finished the episode.
that was a good show! it's impossible not to compare it to heroes so i'll try to be brief - it's
heroes without the ever deepening mystery and new age mumbo jumbo that made me hate it by its last
season.
⚠ SPOILER ALERT - (Click to reveal)
i really liked the characters and i loved the premise even though i think the show could
survive
without the "deep mystery" element. heck, why not have a family of superheroes trying to live
normal lives? it might not be a 5 year series but you could get a good year or two out of it
without having to resort to super villans. in fact, if they add super villans and secret
organizations intent on controlling folks with superpowers i'm afraid it'll turn into "heroes: the
family" without the cheerleader and we saw just how much the audience loved heroes.
let's see how it goes, i liked what i saw and found it enjoyable, let's see where it goes from here.
