hour long hbo shows are always 550 mb. there are no commercials so the run times are longer, which
means larger file sizes.

the rt episodes have been in the size of 550mb for about 3 years now.
you don't like 550mb?
then don't download it.
go get the audio from itunes or whatever.

you're making the wrong assumption that you're a representative user- you're absolutely not.
the vast majority of fans are happy with a 550mb version, they like the quality.
and there's no need to step down in quality just for a few whinos who always need it their way.
for my part i'd welcome if there would only be 1gb versions (they used to be on tpb for a short time)
there's people who watch it on 42" hd screens and some who even archive the episodes.
so, no whining.

i send my thanks out to fqm and i agree that 550 mb is a good size. it's just a talking heads show so
it doesn't need hd but it would still be nice if hd were available. gordon, don't knock house! i tune in
every week to find out if it's not lupus again.
i got a nice big hard drive and i usually delete the episodes after i watch them anyways. if the
size is really important to you i'm sure you could pirate some video compression software and
downsize it to your own liking. to the majority of people, this is just fine.

about file size - tha's really old topic...as was said this file size have been released for ages now.
550 mb is optimal. i've dl'ed once 350 mb version and the quality was not satisfying at all.
so thanks for good quality rips and ups.

sometimes don't get the references while watching. or are you familiar with us politics? just curious...
