why do people upload tv episodes the size of a movie file, whats the point,
only a handfull of people want that thousands dont, its a waste of time
downloading

so can u just upload it at usual 350mb, and im talking about stargate here, we
only want 350mb, and dont say you dont have to download it or wait for another
release, just want original uploader to upload at 350mb

they're the hr release, which i happen to like. the quality is soooo much
better if you're watching on an hd display.

if you don't, wait for the 350mb release or start capping your own shows. don't
bitch about it.

just wait a bit long~~~i'm sure there is 350m one, just have to wait for someone
posting it out~~
maybe you should try to download the 700m one ,it's really much better and also
displayed well on normal crt displays in case you dont have a hd display for
it's just hr
and, i agree,

your only speaking from your own opinion.

i prefer hr i always look for hr. there is allot of people that want hr. hr
files arent even that big, you can get the higher rez ones that are 1gb. for
people who really want fancy stuff thats unencode hdtv ts rips, and those files
are +4gb when those that are that is released you can start complaining.

if we had the 350mb version first we would obviously post it first. we have no
contact with the people who record these shows we just distribute them (read the
faq). also the people who do record these shows will not be reading this forum
so it is completely useless to ask the "original uploader to upload at 350mb"
because the "original uploader" has nothing to do with eztv.

i really hope that makes it clear enough.

hr rules!!! 350 drools!! ;-)

of course there will always be those that prefer the (clearly inferior) non-hr
versions -- they download faster, and take up less space on one's hard drive.

this site:

http://www.540torrents.com/about.php#whatishrhdtv

spells out the differences pretty clearly. i would get the hr releases just
for the ac3 sound alone -- but if you aren't able to set your sound system up
to properly enjoy that feature, do as you will. :-)

(sorry, guess i didn't know the url would be removed -- i'm sure i should read
the forum rules!) :-)

google "540torrents" -- you'll get there.

denver100, releases appear in the order they're... released

atlantis is almost always released by mint, who seem to take a bit longer with their releases, there's not a
conspiracy or hr preference with it, so i get the hrhd while i wait, in case the hd doesnt appear - the joys
of uncapped internet

personally i only ever really bothered with 175/233 mb files released in hr, so it was 350 in the end, as i
didnt think the quality bump was matched in the size bump, and since then i've got a divx dvd player so i
dont bother with any of them anymore, but i get why other people are after them

indeed, if you use big tv or hd-projector, you will want to have 700mb or 1gb
rips, the quality difference is so huge with bigger screens!

its a waste of time downloading

then why are you?

i love the hr releases, even if i only have a 19" screen, still a lot better
with my surround system too. after watching the "normal" releases of weeds, i
only found a hr of one episode. well, i try to download the hr ones from then on.
if people don't want great quality then just leave them alone. i don't see why
people have to complain? it's free! (and early for me, i would have to wait 6
months-1 year for the episodes if i watched them here in sweden. but not lost
since we're just one week behind on that one :d)

it's a bit like the old beta v's vhs arguments really.
both parties have convincing opinions as to why they think one is better than
the other but neither is able to convince the other that there opinion is the
right one. i for one would love the higher quality rips but as a lot of people
do here in aust. we have crappy download limits so the the lower quality rips
will have to suffice for now.
i am just glad there are places like this where i can get my fix of the shows i
love.

700mb hr = 540p video and 5.1 dobly digital audio.
350mb = 342-360p video and stereo mp3
