just slightly out of sync. a -100 sound delay will fix it
[#174446] Written by: JenniDark [13/01/2012, 10:27]
of just put yourself 100m[*] away from the tv so the image reaches your eyes bevore the sound
reaches your ears.

[*] is that enough for a sync-fix of 100 ms? someone smarter than me should investigate.

i didnt notice any sync issues... i did notice, however, continuity issues in the game of donkey kong jenga

usually out-of-sync issues really throw me.

i could not see any problem in this file.

i copied it to my wdtv live plus media player via a 500gb hd and it played fine.

i'm curious about the adjustment that was described in the first post - how does that work?

what program would i need and how do i make the adjustment?

thanks!

no, not really. if the sound comes from the tv as well, and considering that light travels faster
than sound, then the delay would increase. however, if your ears are strapped on the tv (a stupid
way of saying that you are wearing your headphones), you would have to move farther than 100 meters.
light moves roughly (a little less) 300,000,000 meters per second, which is 30,000,000 meters per
100 milliseconds. so to delay the picture 100ms, you would have to move away about 30 thousand
kilometers (that's about 3/4 of the earth's circumference at the equator), which i would pretty much
not recommend to do.

btw, no vanity card in this episode (or at least the video). i always watch out for the vanity card.
that kinda disappointed me a small bit.

edit:

what, exactly?

just set up a better codec pack and use bs player or media player classic.

...

actually, original post is saying that -100ms delay of sound would fix that. so sound is not delayed, quite
the opposite.
here comes the question: "what is -100ms delay"? see the double negative?

to answer the original question: you need to be cca 34 metres from monitor to fix it this way.
