you know billy sometimes its easier to teach people than hand feed them. http://www.orlydb.com/s/tv-xvid (its your precious avi releases) bookmark the link people. that will give you early access to the file names that the releases will have. use that file name as a search on http://thepiratebay.se/ and grab the torrent from a trusted or vip user. ie tvteam vtv ettv for people who want early notice of x264 use http://www.orlydb.com/s/tv-x264 secondly, its not a fucking proper. its a link to the avi file. a proper is used to replace a corrupted / out of sync release. thirdly, times change. i personally find the x264's better quality than the avi's. if you can't find the avi's here use those links. |

it is "proper" in the it works properly unlike the useless x264 that only work on a small % of players. | ||||||

i have no doubt that some prefer the mp4 versions. some will also prefer mkv. others want the quality offered by 720p and 1080p. however there are a number of us who have been faithfully using eztv to download and share avis as they play in our dvd players (yup, perhaps obsolete) and it is only understandable when we get annoyed when the avis disappear and we have to go elsewhere. a shame really. |

i continue to use eztv to quickly view what is out , then go somewhere else to download the avi, it seems eztv dont care about users with laptops and tablet pc's, maybe its their way of gaining bandwidth, very poor support indeed |

try to understand, eztv uploads shows in the order they are released. the mp4 versions are out before the xvid releases, that is why xvid's are uploaded late.also,do keep in mind only 2 scene groups - fqm & 2hd are doing xvid encodes. i have a laptop/pc (4 years old),mp4 plays just fine on them. you must have a very old pc/laptop ,maybe that's why u cant play mp4. |

i'm pretty sure it isn't eztv who decides what formats are used to encode.
this doesn't really make sense, now that there's 2 versions of the same show there'll be less seeders for each version. |

but eztv doesn't uploads the xvids once they are out, and quite often even a few times already tonight the avi is out first on other sites but eztv still doesn't post them |

i just looked at the download page here and i count 10 xvid releases they have uploaded during the past 6-8 hours, have some patience, eventually the other xvid releases will be uploaded too. of course if ur impatient,u can always download from other sites. |

alas, patience is not always the answer as there are quite a number of shows which do not have avis. the answer unfortunately is obvious... go to another site. as i said before, it is a shame as i have long used eztv and think it is one of the best sites for tv. but what can one do? rush out and buy hardware or go else where. i do commend the people posting locations to go to. |

many people are using tablets and laptops nowadays and want to watch video on them. this shouldnt require a fancy new machine, or any upgrade, as we have been doing this for years. yes codecs change, but sometimes not for use on last years equipment. sometimes this is deliberate manufacturer induced to sell more hardware. i do not need 4 gig of ram or a quad core cpu, to google something, or watch youtube, yet a new machine has all this and the geeks design new codecs for the latest hardware. the new codec's are more demanding of resources yet files are smaller in capacity, so i dont know why my not so old laptops dont play these files as smoothly as avi's, all i want is to google sometimes , play music and watch video's , without having to change my equipment, which works perfectly. i would however, upgrade, if i was a serious gamer and i wanted to compete, and win. |
