harry potter: the tv series

it was worth the watch and im at least gonna watch some more. love old school series. nice cast too

it must be good. they renewed for a second season even before the premiere.

basically, this show is cashing in on the success of american period pieces like mad men and
boardwalk empire. this time its set in the late 50s in miami beach. so chain smoking, soft jazz,
more smoking, very attractive woman (nude often), the mafia, hotels, and even more smoking. the
leads are solid, and the quality of the production is good. hope the storyline has a life to keep
it going throughout a whole season.

sorry, i got board with this about halfway through and started skipping through it. in truth, i wasn't
a fan of boardwalk empire either. i gave it a chance. if you like bw-e then, you will most likely like
this.

as polboy mentioned, there is a lot of smoking in this series. the cigarette companies must love it
(or they actually back a series like this) when they do period piece like this, when smoking was almost
common place!

great first episode, well worth watching..! i'm going to start following this series for sure
