you are correct.
100th episode special twist...
the east coast picked the ending they wanted to see, and so did the west coast.
west coast viewers chose a different ending than the east coast.
so we get both 🙂

it's pretty cool though because the movie this episode is based on also had multiple endings with multiple
killers. i just wish we had a video file that had all the possible alternate endings. 🙂
