worst episode of clara's time. also, next week's looks just as bad, with those kids being in it.

they can't all be perfect. every season has it's less interesting stories, but on the whole the show still
manages to be much more interesting that most other things on tv.

no amy/rory/river, and clara is a weak substitute - no wonder this season is falling flat.
strax is definitely the best part of this episode.

ever since they came back from break the show feels really different. i don't think it is clara
though. it would be easy to pin it on her since she is a new element, but i think there are other
elements that have drastically changed. the whole design has skewed a little bit darker on the
show. even though it has not all come together yet, i think that this pair could potentially turn
out to be much like tom baker and elizabeth sladen, which i think is a great thing. the kids being
on the show fits with that era as well it seems like. while, given a choice, as an adult i might
not ask for kids to become part of the show for me personally, i do think that it would be a good
thing to have smart, capable examples for other children to identify with and aspire to. that is
how lifelong fans are made i think. my 2 cents anyway 🙂

all of you complainers obviously never watched the old whos. it looks to me like they are
deliberately doing stories more similar to the old ones, with the adventure and the doctor solving
the problem being more important than the companion.
and since i don't particularly like the "companion-centricness" of the reboot, these episodes suit
me just fine.
