it's a miniseries. it will tell it's story in 13 episodes and that will be that.
no its not a miniseries. the most recent interview with the producers said it is a 13 episode season and
they have a plan to go on more than one season. (apparently that was also pitched to king and he loved
it!)
i found it pretty boring.
it's the same story over and over : drama "in space", "underground", "on an island", "in a
submarine", "in a prison" and now "inside a dome".
i'm always amazed by the number of mentally unstable people you will always find in "smallville, usa"
by the way ⚠ SPOILER ALERT - (Click to reveal)
to the guy that said the dome is cauterizing the wounds, it seems it did not
for the woman who lost her arm (and remember there's a pool of blood on the ground under the cow).
and when a truck crashes in the dome at 60mph, there's not a once of smoke coming
from the engine ... nice effect but fail in the end
omg - stop over analysing the show and watch it for what it is. entertainment for the family. all i
am hearing is "whaaaaaa" when we should be hearing "yay, something decent to watch that isn't
another mind numbing show". majority liked and enjoyed. stop picking every little thing and give
thanks - mostly to eztv for giving you the opportunity to get this series to watch at your leisure.
i am so freaking happy that the first episode did not disappoint.
when i read the book, i got draw into it so quickly, and i thought knowing the plot ahead of time would
make the tv show less enthralling. but it just made me want to watch it all the more once i started getting
drawn into the narrative.
i do hope it doesn't get drawn out like lost, because the story doesn't need to be told like that. it could
easily be told in 3 acts, each act being a 13 episode season.
for what it's worth, i enjoyed it. first episode, so give it a chance. as for stretching it out like
lost, i doubt it. it's a novel with a beginning, middle and end. lost was just a disorganized heap
that had no direction what so ever.
