take a shot of vodka whenever she mentions her period or menopause if you want to make a night of it.

i've seen them all and its hilarious. amy will go far...i should rewatch them all.

she is basically just a slightly younger lisa lampanelli... most the stuff is more offensive/shock
factor then actually funny.

i agree, i did not find this funny at all. i downloaded the first 2 episodes and watched them
thinking hey, perhaps the pilot is just lame. nope episode 1 and 2 both unfunny.
she tries to be funny by talking about sex and shit but it just comes down to a woman trying to be
funny and failing.

wow... that was much better than i expected.

i expected menstruation humor and i was rewarded with passable comedy with a woman as the focus.

amy schumer isn't some hack open-mic'er. she's a comic's comic. a great one.

her friends make random appearances throughout this series. jim norton, bob kelly, joe derosa, jim
florentine, anthony cumia, etc. all fantastic and i would argue the best comics around today.

amy schumer killed patrice o'neal with her hateful brand of pseudo-comedy (he died shortly after
whichever roast it was that they were both on (charlie sheen's?), where she laid into him longer than she
did to the roastee). since then, i refuse to watch anything that she is a part of.

the same guys that are friends with whitney cummings, so that doesn't really say anything. it's just the
usual comedy central clique, of which some are very funny. doesn't mean anybody "hangin'" with them is
though...

amy schumer isn't my thing. too much talk about sex, the easiest subject to make jokes about. she's way
too much of a good thing.

women can't be funny. period. (pun not intended).

oh boy, yet another jewish woman show... "not that there is anything wrong with that" (to quote my favorite comedian and a
jew too, ha ha) but from watching american shows you'd think 75-80% of americans are jews!
don't they have any white and non-jewish cast in good ol' u.s. of a. anymore?

and no, i'm not anti-semite (like i give a sh...t what you may think about me anyways, lol) but the fact is that for a 2% of
population, the jewish minority has such overwhelming majority in american media, it's easy to mistaken u.s. tv shows to be
israel tv :-)

know she won't read that, but then who knows? - to mrs./ms. schumer: thanks, but no, thanks! you suck at being comedian,
and support from your fellows "minority" and heavy tv promotion won't change that. i would strongly suggest going back to
kitchen and having babies instead, in theory no woman can suck at that! 😛

norton is the only genuinely funny comedian in that list. the fact that she hangs around those other
half-baked comics would explain why her comedy is so terrible.

i'm also getting tired of this "comic's comic" excuse for comedians who aren't funny. c.k. is an
actual comic's comic, schumer is just some unfunny jewish whore who makes other shitty comedians
laugh or gives them someone somewhat competent to play off of. i've unwillingly listened to her from
time to time and it's nothing but predictable dirty jokes. no wit.

there's some pretty sharp disagreement on this show so i'm going to weigh in. i liked this show and
i liked amy schumer. she great to look at, funny, and is quick to put herself out there as the butt
of her own jokes. but it's not really cringe humour - the kind i hate - but more observational
humour built into short story bits. the show is well-paced and cuts between random skits; street
interviews and standup. the show is similar to louis but more random: the skits don't add up to a
theme or narrative. she's no louis ck, she does not have the maturity nor the tight writing. as much
as i like him, louis can be such a downer, he can be so grim and dark at times. amy is fresh,
lively, cute but anti-glamor, and there isn't that meanness in her satire like kathy griffin. i
really enjoyed it and will continue watching.
