yep i agree, u can totally skip this episode.
if u wanna skip then heres a few notes on what happend:

mason have been captured and is featured in the "insanity ep" .
a radio is blown up seconds before weaver is going to use it for contact the other govern to tell em their
pres is dead.
the alien grid is activated.
mason escapes at the end of ep and begins to walk home.
