Devious Maids S01E05 HDTV x264-EVOLVE

this has not been cancelled yet, well bugger me.

this show was rejected by abc - the network it was intended for (replacement for desperate
housewives). its being carried by a smaller network, lifetime. its a network focused on women
demographics. the show is a good fit for the network, and that network has modest expectations for
audience numbers. and the ratings are holding steady (even climbing a little) - respectable numbers
for a small network.

and based on ratings for the show - i expect this show will air the full season of 13 episodes.

its not like fox, cbs, nbc and abc where the hint of blood will get the sharks circling to axe a show.

and its airing in the summer time. networks are airing mainly repeats or sports events and reality
show. there is very little new content (compared to the normal fall-spring season). summer is the
perfect time to test out new shows to build an audience. also to let contracts expire on shows that
just don't cut it in the ratings wars during the normal season.

and in the end - television in the usa is not about content but ratings.

but another thing - based on the torrent itself - there are 3335 people who have the show or want to
watch it. that is respectable number for a torrent. everyone's tastes are different.

i actually find this series to be good, it has laughter to its story line, hope they keep it.

i also find this series good. i'll certainly continue to watch it as long as it's free to download... :d
