top of the lake is a 2013 television drama miniseries co-produced by bbc two in the uk, uktv in
australia/nz and sundance channel in the united states.[1] written and created by jane campion and
gerard lee, and filmed and set [2] in new zealand, the series follows a detective investigating the
disappearance of a 12-year-old pregnant girl. both jane campion and garth davis directed episodes in
the series.

wow, who knew. stellar cast and set in new zealand. bucket load of production companies but
basically a british production i suspect. slow warm up, serious intrigue, just lovely. for those
of you who like their seriously quirky dramas, this just works fine.
me, i'm just captivated by the story, well also the acting, and oh yeah, the production. bit of an
all rounder really 😉 very worthy.
