this guy was crazy and would have gotten them killed in rl. yeah lets wander away from our known

they had little choice.

their "known shelter" was non-existent as it got blown away by the storm. they were knee deep
in muddy water surrounded by poisonous water snakes and crocodiles.
no shelter, tired and dehydrated. fighting water based foot infections.
the guy knew they couldn't last long in this situation. if was either find higher ground or quit the
game. and if he quit the game, the girl was out too.
he made the right choice.
i also suspect he got a "hint" from the camera crew where dry land was located.
you think the camera crew is going to rough it in knee deep water?
also, it wasn't explained how they got fresh water after the move. presumably
their found metal pot was washed away by the storm. it was never
mentioned or seen again. so what did they use to boil their water?
i guess we're supposed to suspend our disbelief.
