not sure if this was just my utorrent behaving anomalously, but the file in this appears to be missing the
extension. just rename it as a .mp4 and it should work fine.

yes it is your torrent client or os.
i've verified that this file downloads correctly *with* the file extension .mp4

from time to time someone reports the same issue...missing file extension.
if you are using utorrent 3.2, it's a known issue (several bugs in 3.2). i recommend upgrade to 3.2.1
or newer, or revert to an older stable version. if you are using a different version number or different
torrent client, read the the help, faq, or forum section of your torrent client's website.
