Southcliffe S01E01 HDTV x264-TLA

a four-part us drama series airing on channel 4. set in a fictional town on the north kent marshes,
it employs a nonlinear narrative structure to tell the story of a series of shootings by a local man
portrayed by sean harris, the cause of these shootings and the effects on the town and residents. it
explores tragedy, grief, responsibility and redemption, as seen through the eyes of a journalist
returning to the small town of his childhood, to cover the story of the tragedy, and those closest
to the victims of the tragedy

well, i even had to recall my eztv login to write this.
watched the whole 4 parts of this. this was supposed to be a great mini-series, with good actors and
deep thoughts after watching.
it came down to being pointless sh*t. pointless deaths, pointless persona of the killer, his unsolved
motives for doing so, undeveloped characters, etc., etc.
the creators did nothing but wasting our time and hurting the feelings of the people living at the place
where it was filmed. these were convinced a serious drama or detective story was being filmed inside and
around their homes, and were disdained at the result.
the person who brought this to the screen tried to make excuses by saying he wanted to portray "the
suffering of the people hurt by the tragedy, and how they cope with it". well, is trying to become a whore,
only to find some stranger her killed daughter 'seemingly' cared about, a way of coping? yeah, the same
as firing a rifle in the woods. or marrying the dead person the cheating sob had not given a sh*t about.
please, watch something else. eztv has much better to offer.

yeah this was a bit of a waste of time, watched it about a month ago. the reporter character (forget his
name) is pretty interesting though. his pub speech is magnificent. but that hardly makes this worth your
while.

the show started really well imo but each episode got worse and worse
