having lost track of the number of times i watched season one to three, it is safe to say that i am a big
fan of this show (the biggest in my own mind). i feel that its coming to an end calls for a few words on
my behalf, directed to my like-minded friends, i.e. those who bother to read this thread, in an attempt to
do it the justice it deserves (yes, doomed to fail 🙂). i like to comfort myself with the thought that phony,
wannabee tv-show addicts don't even know of eztv's existence, so this seems like the proper platform to
share my expert opinion, safely hidden from the superficial, uninformed opinions that make my spine
shiver and fists clench.
the description of this show i liked best is that burn notice is like a fine wine, its taste refining as it
ages. and f*****g s**t did the wine taste great in the end!!! as famous people should quit at their
height, i should probably quit watching tv-shows now. and jeffrey donovan should stop acting. period.
whenever the going gets tough, don't ask yourself: "what would dexter morgan/w.w./clark kent/tony
soprano/arya stark/cartman/omar little/etc/etc/etc do?" (oh, and definitely don't ask yourself what
those idiots portrayed in the walking dead, true blood, jericho and the likes would do!)
instead, imagine that you used to be a spy, no money, no cash, no credit... no job history... stuck in
whatever city they decided to dump you in (wherever this may be, dont forget to whistle at this point!),
dependent on those still talking to you: trigger happy girlfriend, old friend who used to inform on
you to the fbi (bunch of bitchy little girls!), family too (only if really desperate, naturally), and a
down-and-out spy you met along the way.
then ask yourself the one relevant question: "what would michael westen (i actually call him mike by
now) do?"
smile in their face, and stab em in the back!!
(or stump em in the nuts... i'm afraid that contrary to my earlier statement i will end up watching that
show when it finally returns :d)
thank you eztv for guiding me through television land, i will carry the sweet memories of this show with
me for a long time to come.
