i felt so bad for williams, his brilliant person was restricted by another kelly vehicle that has no
driver and no rear view mirror. a few good lines, but the show asked too much of me hitting me in
the head with too many characters and not enough story about who the two main people are and what
brought them to be where they are. give me just a few hints other than references to rehab.
robin williams as simon roberts, a chicago advertising executive. williams describes simon as "a guy who
can sell anything. he could sell frappuccinos to starbucks. he could sell clouds to god." touching upon how
his own life was the inspiration for simon's backstory, williams says, "simon's a guy with a lot of nuance.
he's lived hard and been on the edge for a long time. multiple marriages, rehab, even rehab in wine
country. trust me, i've done the research myself.
sarah michelle gellar as sydney roberts
james wolk as zach cropper
amanda setton as lauren slotsky, an assistant described as "much smarter than she first appears."
hamish linklater as andrew keanelly, the agency's buffoonish art director
btw can we say mad men rip off? williams did a great job delivering the heart-felt micky d
retrospect, but it was don drapper and kodak all over again.
