really good documentary! better than expected, although i tend to like dark, ironic, brittish humour
more than a lot of people... ;-)
could also have to do with the fact that i've been through all the stages. c64, atari 2600, nes,
amiga 500 and so on. :-)

it's definitely watchable. i found it surprising that the narrator used cuss words! i lost the count
of 'shits' he said. i'm not sure if he was comfortable with cussing...? for some reason it bothered
at least me. anyway, there were appearances by tim schafer, peter molyneux and, a little
surprisingly to me, by felicia day. i get the impression she's a gaming junkie. i've been a jun--
gamer since early 90s, and this docu filled some of the gaps in my knowledge and understanding.
there's a bunch of (video game) violence and gore shown so sensitive people and children shouldn't
watch this... unless you allow your kid to play anything he wants with no parental censorship (which
means you're a horrible and negligent parent), then you could sit down with your kid and watch this
together. here's a quick overview of the major pitstops (game titles) in the documentary: pong,
tetris, super mario, monkey island, gta, doom, lara croft, mortal kombat, world of warcraft,
starcraft, call of duty... mass effect, maybe... i'm forgetting a few here.

speaking of video game violence, i found it absolutely hilarious and surreal to watch the included
old clips of politicians speaking so monotonously about video game violence. to me that was the
comedy gold.
