personal opinion incoming:

i was entertained by it, his upbeat personality mixed with his downward spiral made the show fun to watch.
there was nothing overly original in the show, but the characters were engaging enough to make me not
care too much. i fear the show will become formulaic over time, but i'll continue to watch it, at least until
that happens.

its actually a remake of an australian tv series,(which is obviously torrent available out there)which
is two seasons done 🙂

i have watched the first season(and richard roxburgh looks a bit bored at times...or maybe that's
his style) i can see how greg kinnear style could 'make' this

do yourself a favor and grab the original australian version it's so good,and the third season is starting in
the 1st half of this year.

all that was needed to be said was, greg kinnear. he's awesome in whatever he does.

watched a few eps of that and it was grittier and more beloevable than the remake - which i liked
but it was maybe a little over the top.

btw - can anyone explain the title?

"rake" is an older english (and australian) term for a 'bad boy' womaniser, drinker, gambler etc.

hey everyone!! i have a dumb question, but maybe someone here knows. there is a song in the
background of the first episode, about 19-20 minutes into it. when keegan is making out with "mikki".
i tried looking for it but no luck at all. if anybody has a clue, would you please post here. thank you
in advance.

challenging indeed.
i tried phone apps, shazam, midomi, soundhound, that listen/sample, and search, but no luck.
then i searched imdb blogs, the show's official website, fox music, official facebook and twitter
pages, and dozens of tv show blogs, and all i found was a few other people asking the same
question...no replies. i then did a partial lyrics search using google, and a few sites that specialize
in lyrics search, still no luck.

thank you, boonesferry, so very much for the time you took to try and help me out. i'm really
greatful. i sent the small part of the "somewhat recognizable" song to a couple dj friends that i have.
hopefully , with a bit of luck, someone will find out what that song is.
