i get that you are trying to be helpful, but you're not.
don't post virus warnings in our forums.
eztv never posts infected files
you needlessly freak people out,
and damage our reputation,
as well as yours.

the .torrent file does not contain a virus.
the .mp4 video file does not contain a virus.

if you are receiving warning alerts of some sort when you attempt to initiate a download by using
a .torrent file or a magnet link, or when playing a .mp4 video file, then you probably already have
a virus of some sort, and that virus is causing the alert...not the .torrent, magnet, or .mp4 file.

also, there is nothing "fishy" about a 114 mb video file.

163 mb - the simpsons s25e08 hdtv x264-lol
130 mb - the simpsons s25e09 hdtv x264-lol
124 mb - the simpsons s25e10 hdtv x264-lol
114 mb - the simpsons s25e11 hdtv x264-lol
122 mb - the simpsons s25e12 hdtv x264-lol

seriously people, do some research before commenting in the forums. be prepared to back up
everything you say with provable, knowable, facts. don't just spew out what ever pops into your
head. especially if what you are about to say could damage someone's reputation. if you don't
know enough about what you're doing then seek out help from someone who does.

for what it's worth, it's simple enough to check that there were, indeed, 2 episodes broadcast tonight:

542 12 "diggs" michael polcino dan greaney & allen glazier march 9, 2014 sabf08
SPOILER ALERT - (highlight to read)
bart makes friends with a transfer student named diggs, an expert in falconry who saves bart from the wrath of the springfield
elementary bullies

there was a time when we believed that none-executable files (such as images) could not contain
viruses.
it was a much simpler time.

since then, it has been proven that it can be done(buffer overflow)

the thing is, this idea of implementing virus as none executable code, depends on an exploit.
witch means that since everyone knows about the problem now... modern software should check for it,
especially big tools like vlc and photoshop.

with this in mind, the odds of it happening is so small that it is hardly worth mentioning, and is certainly
nothing you have to worry about.

as boonesferry already said.
in all likelihood, it is your system that is infected, creating these alerts.

eztv is the safest place for downloading torrents before you post a virus alert you have to
be a 500% sure.

not everybody around here is and old user and it's not a good idea to freak out people!

in all fairness, nobody, and i mean nobody, can be 100% sure of not having a virus.

computer viruses is not to unlike real world viruses in this regards. usually some people need to get sick
before someone starts developing a cure.

so there is a very big grey-area here.
it takes time before av software makers catch a virus, depending on how big spread it has and how much
damage it does.

that said...
eztv is as clean as they get, so don't worry about it

a 500% thing i thought it was clear that was a figure speech.

the only thing i can say is that i've been using this site for many years i guess 6 or more (i'm not
good with dates) and i never downloaded anything with virus and i download a lot so that's a
close to a 100% that i can be, i'd called a 99,99%

i was just thinking...i wonder if the person was referring to the one-click-downloader?
because that will trigger alerts with some anti-virus and adware type programs, due
to the nature of how oneclickdownloaders work...but if you are using a torrent client
with the magnets or downloaded torrent files, then there are no worries at all.
