this is what i was looking for. actuall deaths, mass murder, drugs, boobs, sex and many "arrr"s
is that sarcasm? i can't imagine that you're going to have more nudity and violence from the
broadcast network that's producing 'about a boy' than from the cable channel that made 'spartacus:
blood and full frontal.'
it's basically a sci-fi show (the channel, not the genre) in a pirate setting. very dodgy story that doesn't
feel very "piraty". and john malkovich... why the hell does he have that ugly accent? really put me off.
poorly acted, poorly directed (mostly in asking little from the actors), poorly written. and to top
it all off the desperate avoidance of nudity by nbc is so very noticeable..
the whole thing is so immensely uninspired.
oh and the lighting is also not helping, too filled in, making it look bland.
but the ship/sea special effects were pretty decent though.
