why cant we get smaller file sizes?

i asked that last season, and was told that eztv would prefer the smaller size, but the scene has
not been doing the smaller size. if the scene doesn't cap it, eztv won't be able to get it.

i got mine off kat last year and will probably do the same this year, but i keep checking here first
just in case.

2 gig per ep is a bit large for me...

thanks, movielover2, you are correct. the scene has not released the show in sd (standard
definition), and eztv only torrents scene releases.

usually, non-scene independents will take the scene's 720 webrip and re-encode to a smaller file
size and post to thepiratebay and other torrent sites. further down the road (a month or two?) the
second season will probably be out on dvd and the dvd scene groups will do rips in various sizes.

yes, for those with monthly bandwidth limits, or limited hard drive spaces, 2 gig per episode is a
lot. non-scene independent re-encodes of various file sizes and resolutions are available on other

when using tpb, i recommend downloading from a vip or trusted member...the ones with a green
or pink skull icon. also, read the user comments to see if there are any issues with the torrent. if
thepiratebay is blocked by your isp, use a proxy from the proxy bay: http://proxybay.info/ or
use the piratebrowser http://piratebrowser.com/ it allows you to circumvent censorship (to all
sites, not just tpb) that certain countries such as iran, north korea, united kingdom, the
netherlands, belgium, finland, denmark, italy and ireland impose onto their citizens.

thanks for replies guys. yeah i just got the first season from tpb so i will just have to wait for
second season. ohh well i can watch the first season and hopefully second will be out after that.
