this show is an utter travesty. i had a half hour to kill and this was the only thing on. i should have done
something else. i kinda like kelsey grammer, and feel he's better than this crap. guess you have to pay
the bills, somehow. martin lawrence. what can i say? it was like he was in a semi-coma. so little humor,
and such an enthusiastic laugh track.
absolute garbage, and exactly what i expected. everyone associated with this production should do hard
prison time. much of it in solitary.

i agree with the above statement (except i downloaded ep2 to makes sure). it is trying to be funny
but just doesn't quite get there. i think i laughed once? it was actually a little sad to watch.

if a show needs a laugh track, it wasn't funny enough for the actual audience to laugh and it
obviously wasn't. that indeed was a giant suck fest.
kelsey grammer is just kelsey grammer (e.g. frasier) without the witty banter but kind of
arrogant.martin lawrence plays marcus and if you like big momma's house type humor (which i
personally thinksucks too) you won't like this, it isn't over the top like those kind of movies are. i
don't knowwhat he was doing but he was doing much.
it seems they just thought let's put two celebs in a show and we'll just wing it and make it funny
with a laugh track.

the premise of this show is questionable. why does marcus need allen (grammer) as a
partner? he isan adult who seems to do pretty well with his practice? it's not like he is new at this
and needs some guidance or is on the brink of bankruptcy? why is his mom living with him? why
doesn't his daughter say anything about her mom sleeping with a priest?

good sitcoms these days are few and far between.
most sitcoms are just ok, and many of us watch a few. i know i have my few đ
but this one, after watching episode one and two, this is pretty bad.
as for the laugh track, there are plenty of good, or ok, sitcoms that use them,
but this show omfg way over used and way too loud! it's ridiculous.

i always meant to go back and watch the series but never found the time.

it received high ratings by members on imdb and mostly positive reviews,
but low overall number of viewers and expensive to produce.
low profit margin = not renewed.

go watch boss for fucking serious. it actually got cancelled not because it had low numbers, but
because it was produced independently, and shared less profit with the channel.
