most shows are torrented shortly after the scene has released a show. however, there are times
when, manpower, resources, access to scene releases, etc., are limited. sometimes a torrent may
not be posted for several hours and sometimes not until the following day.
up to 24-ish hours is within our acceptable norm.

anyone know why the show has the (2005) tag on it?

to distinguish the modern continuation of the show that began in 2005 from the classic series that began in
the 60's.

the first 5 episodes of series/season 8 are now available online on most/all torrent sites. granted they are
in black and white & unedited (missing some cgi and other tweaks [ie: voice over]), but still give you the
entire/full episode.

my opinion of season 8 with peter c. : "meh". it's a lot darker and in-your-face/straight forward.
basically, it's borrowing a lot on its pre-2005 roots (aka you might not like the dr., but the stories are
still an adventure)

that being said, this season's story arc of "the promised land" is interesting and has got me
hooked to see future episodes.

in october 2012, davies announced that for personal reasons the show would enter indefinite
hiatus. subsequent searches every six months, and one very recently, i found no new information
regarding a 5th season return of torchwood.

supposedly they have some plan to address why he has been seen earlier in the series, and
once in torchwood.. also, if you talk to anyone that has seen the leaked 801-805 workprints, theyll
tell you that this was like the shittiest episode of the new season. just wait, it get soo much
cooler! but honestly, the post-regeneration episodes are some of the worst ones in my opinion.
excluding the 11th hour. that shit is gold.

must've been an oooooooooooooooooooold ad. i don't imagine to see torchwood ever coming back - and
if it does, it'll be back in england and not be partnered up with starz. this is just my opinion, but american
tv networks aren't big on giving shows an "undetermined hiatus" - it's too "out of the box" thinking for
them (no offense to americans, it just is what it is).

that being said, i'd love for torchwood to come back, but with r.t. davies' boyfriend having cancer and
rtd having other projects in development* and the poor reception that miracle day received i doubt he or
the show will ever be back (even though rtd himself has stated that the show "is not cancelled", but might
not be back for 10-20 years).

* personally, i think "wizards vs. aliens" (another rtd project) is sh*t - at any age. even miracle day, the
worst rated torchwood "season" of them all has better ratings than the best season of wva.
