i don't like it one bit. they make a big storyline about denise and brad having
a baby, then dump them. rene's character (paul) provided a great balance to
bill shatner's (denny). and after some initial reservations, i was really
starting to warm up to constance (claire). ont eh good side though, jerry is on
as a regular!

it does suck that julie bowen is not going to be on the show and i did like paul
and constance. hopefully they will still have the same dynamic without all of
those characters. i never liked william shatner before and even met him when i
was younger and he was an asshole, but denny crane changed my mind! i wonder
who else will join the show? they need to be adding more characters no? and
will clarence stay or leave?

i didnt like them kicking out people after the first season... rhona mitra is
an asset, and the other two women i liked a lot, too.
well, i never liked brad ^^, but rene auberjonois is awesome... i'm an old ds9
fan.
whatever people i liked or disliked, i can't acknowledge a show changing the
whole cast every season... well ok, without william shatner and james spader
the show would be dead, obviously, but only because the show features two
characters specifically, the others aren't completely disposable at any time...

i agree 100% with harbs on this one.
it seems they do this all the time when secondary characters have their
contracts run out. meanwhile, all these characters added something legitimate
to the show. oddly enough, theirs were the least "quirky", while each still
possessed grand idiosyncracies. i hope they are not replaced simply
by "weirdo" characters. it seems the more cast changes they make, they more
eccentric the characters become. no law firm of that prestige would ever to
be able to function in real life with associates such as these comprising the
majority of the team.

david e kelly did it to the practice for money reasons i heard sounds like the
same here and isnt 4 seasons the minimum needed for a drama series to get
syndicated so maybe abc said( because its not a huge ratings winner) cut costs
and we will give you one more season.

good point, i really liked bowen & zimmer... tara summers looks okay, but not
nearly as nice as either of them. and auberjonois was fantastic because he was
the show's straight-man, really the only "normal" person at the firm! what the
hell...
meanwhile, while i like hands espenson in occasional doses, i dont think he'll
work in a full season. and if zimmer's gone, could she take "clarence" with her?
useless addition to the cast last season.
still, shatner + spader make the show, i'll still watch/love it.

i think clarence might stay and continue to work with jerry espenson, they
were pretty funny working together with there disabilities
