petition

i would like to start a petition to the releasers of the shows on here to stop
putting speed over quality. i would like to no if anyone else would rather wait
another hour or 2 for a proper excellent quality release instead of the 1 hour
releases that are nuked at some stage through the video.
please i would like everyones thoughts on this and hope they can fix this so we
don't get propers of propers and so on.

two main reasons:-

1) in `the scene` it's all about one-upmanship with speed of release. quality
is very much a secondary consideration.

2) `the scene` doesn't care about you. in fact, it actively hates you, and
wishes you would just ... die.
("you" in this case refers to all us p2p users)

eztv/vtv don't have a direct relationship, as such, with the release groups.
most of the content here is `leaked` from a few scene insiders/sites/sources,
so getting a request back up the chain to stop the madness would be ignored at
best, considered a declaration of war at worst.
(i'm only half joking about the war part - you wouldn't believe just how
seriously some of the scene takes itself 🙂)

the scene doesn't hate p2p in general, they hate when people distribute their
personal works over p2p. so you could say they hate it.

eztv has absolutely positively no contact whatsoever with the scene, sorry.

simple... 😛 wait 24 hrs before you d/l the episode
that way, you can read all the comments left by other users and decide for
yourself

i agree with rodney. if it bothers you that much just wait.

ideally though, the best time for a quality check would be before the intitial
upload, that would save everyone bandwidth. eztv has no control over that.
