Mars makers create history drama

i don't understand why "life on mars" has to be remade for the american
audience. the rest of the world doesn't go around remaking friends, csi etc.
do they understand that mancunian is actually the same language as english. i
am in australia and it sounds a little funny but i did not need to translate
anything.

surely we can't air a show if it doesn't have a million product-placed
advertisements in it... we'll just remake it instead and rape it for all its
international acclaim....

send in the clowns?

there may be standards & practices issues, too. i haven't seen enough of mars
to know, but shows like the office and torchwood had adult language that
wouldn't fly on american broadcast tv.
