are me and my wife really the only people in the world that have been enjoying
this show?

i enjoyed it too! although the music was tripe and many of the stories were
quite bad, there was a lot of potential there, and some of the episodes i found
really enjoyable. i am gutted it's been axed. and i loved michelle ryan in it,
and starbuck was great too. shame. a real shame. i will never forgive those
striking writers for taking away poor michelle's chance at making it big...
although she's got enough talent to make it anyway. fingers crossed for her,
bless her.

sorry but this was not a victim of the writers strike, if anything the strike
probably postponed the decision. what kiiled the show in my opinion was that
no one seemed quite sure what they wanted from it. was it going to be a dark
updating ala 'battlestar galactica'or a light action adventure show more like
its fellow freshman 'chuck'? the tone swung back and forth between the two
extremes and lost a lot of the audience along the way.

everyone called it. the writing was terrible and ryan isn't even hot. i couldn't even bring myself to keep
watching, and i never give up on shows, i even watched hidden palms all the way through and it was by no
means great.

what do you mean ryan isn't hot?!!

are we going to find out what would have happened in the end?

i think the show missed a good background story.
i mean they really tried to do something with katee sackhoff's character sarah
corvus, but they didn't get it quite running. if they had maybe shown the
background of the corvus as bionic woman in flashbacks to explain her problems
and what could happen to jaime sommers in the same way, it would probably kept
some more viewers on the show (i mean struggeling with the side effects of her
bionics would really have been something).
i hope, such things won't happen to the new knight rider, for which i think,
that it will get a 13-episode pick-up after quite good ratings of the "pilot".

can't they just made a show with a full story before start it... and change it
if it's working well but not cancel it in middle season... this remember me
brimstone...

heh.. if'n you can find person/s on this planet that has that knowledge... by
all means...

i thought the show certainly kept on going with the same tone as the pilot
episode ...

i.e. cram in as many ingredients as you can into the pot, then give it a good
old stir till it's barely coherent any more.

there were a lot of good ideas, but the weird tone shifts mentioned earlier
really didn't do them any favours. it'a like each episode got focus-grouped
to death by a completely different range of testers.

for what it's worth michelle ryan didn't really "pop" for me. she was good in
jekyll, but here she never really seemed to be able to get to grips with
acting angry or upset in this and looked wooden.

generally speaking, i found it to be good idle fluff. ryan was moderately
cute, but just didn't have the presence, she was outshone by almost everyone
else in the show. she'd have fit a supporting character role much better.

i think it is a shame that it has been axed, given the right material it could
of been good, as for michelle ryan, coming from the uk, where she was in a
soap called eastenders for like 6 years (something like that) i can say she can
really act and even had whole episodes devoted to her character, i don't think
this series was the best platform for her, she is talented and i hope she has
the opportunity to star in something more suited to her talents.

it\'s a sad reflection on american audiences that bionic woman has been axed.
the show stood head & shoulders above all current us offerings, with the
possible exception of lost, and michelle ryan fitted the superwoman role
perfectly.
the timing of the writer\'s strike is undoubtedly the most culpable
factor in it\'s demise, because, let\'s face it, it had enormous potential,
and
american audiences are not really that sad! or are you?

apparently in the uk it is going to start showing - which makes no sense if
they only made 6 or 7 episodes before it got canned in the states

that's never been a hindrance to uk channels buying in us shows before.

or dutch channels for that matter. 3 lbs. (which was axed after 3 eps) and
invasion spring to mind...
