I record via my local pbs stations every week, but I do not know what to use to transcode to a smaller file (those are
usually 1 gig in size or so) , if you can think of how to convert it somehow free I could start uploading them, and
maybe cut the commercials in the beginning as well

hey dude, quick question, i downloaded it and did a test run on some show that was 30 min recorded on my pc, when I
transcoded to mp4 format, it (for a 30 min or so show) was still about 900mb or so size, you know what output type or
anything to make them smaller? would using mkv make it smaller? recording for the pbs stations are i think 720p?
maybe 1080i, but in any case how these dudes get the recordings for 30 min like 200 mb or so? just trying to figure
out the setting to shrink them down. thanks in advance!!!

Sorry, I'm not a tech. I just follow the direcs when I do use it which is seldom. Ask Tyser11. He's pretty sharp on that
stuff. All I do is search and destroy, lol.

My best advice would be don't bother decreasing the file, you have to get the specs
just right but whatever you do your going to lose quality! In the time it will take you
converting and editing all these too then upload a 250mb file is just not worth it.
depending on your upload speed you would have most likely uploaded the original
file by the time it's done anyway, but if your content on small hevc files because
that's what your looking for then just simply try using the information of a megusta
file. All the specs are written in the torrent in they will vary between each file as I say
got to get the specs just right.

them trying to decrease file size and don't stretch the pixles you should be fine...

definitely noticable compared to the original file.

hey guys, how do I put in the info tracker to see if it works for you guys, i am uploading now, and am not sure how to i guess
announce it? Should I give you the the magnet link? I copied that info from the qtorrent info when i created it, thanks for any
info!!! i got the 720p size down to 450 mb, I didn't try to edit the video, just the full 30 min from the recording. hope it works
