i'm a native english speaker ... and i would need subtitles. the dialogue is muffled and barely discernible
throughout ... thank god they went easy on the background music!

pity as it looks interesting.

what's up with all the mp4's ? downloading them is a waste of time and energy, only to discover they
can't be watched, making all my favorite shows suddenly unavailable and eztv utterly useless. unless
fqm starts posting all the shows lol usually posts as avi files... wahhhhhh no more eztv - virus city.
p.s. all changes and upgrades usually suck - no more mp4's please. return to the quality we count on.
- thanx

i also hope they will explain how the l5 station seems to be still perfectly positioned after nearly
two centuries (really reliable automatic correction systems?)

these are quite playable. the quality is actually beter and the file size is smaller...also you
don't need to convert them to play on mp4 players. this will become the new norm soon.
(mp4 video and m4a audio are much clearer then the avi video and mp3 audio currently in use)

all you need is a codec to play them. cole2k media codec pack, or k-lite codec pack will do. (i
use cole2k myself, i think k-lite may install with vlc)

i have never had a video that wouldn't play in either wmp or vlc...vlc will play most anything
that you throw at it...

that's fine if you want to watch things on your pc or a tiny mp4 player.

i think some folk steam media into there lounge (big sceen tele) to a xbox or ps3 both of which cannot
easily read mp4s.

for me mp4s are a pain, until i work around it.

i have no serious issues with mp4s, but if i want to watch them on my phone i need to transcode them -
it would be nice to release both formats - better for one person to convert the files up front than for
10000, 9500 of which would be asking how to do it each time.

cheers eztv / people who actually made this
very well done.
any one know if its going to be a full series ????????

1996 -- dvd movies
2001 -- xvid
2003 -- h.264 (x264)
2006 -- blu-ray
2012 -- "the scene" adopts h.264 (x264)

xvid vs. h264, old tech vs. new tech.
.wav vs. mp3. old tech vs. new tech.
older tech usually last about 10 years.
stop bitching and whining about xvid vs. h.264 (x264) and avi vs. mp4 and mkv.

you can't put your vhs tape in a dvd player or your 8-track audio cartridge in a cassette player. nor
can you put your 12" vinyl alubm in your cd player. time and technology change...get used to it.

grow up and realize that the world does not stop advancing just for you. spend $50 on a stand-alone
network/wifi/usb player for your tv. or take your free torrents, your free time, and free apps to
convert files to whatever format you choose. fyi: $50 divided by 10 years = $5 per year, or 42 cents
per month. with a $100 stand-alone product you're still only spending 83 cents per month. that's less
than a cup of coffee or a can of red bull.

eventually all scene releases, and most non-scene release, will be h.264/x264...until another new
tech comes along in ten years.

mmm, okay i get the point about subs, seems like everyone here is a radish, they seem to repeat a lot

as the sound was so rubbish i wish i had subs as well

the last thing i donated to on here was a film they were making, no idea how long ago that was
though, must have been years ago, i cant even remember the name of it, but they were looking for
shedloads more money than this lot

either way, the film never appeared

i'd like to see this series succeed though, but i cant see that happening just with donations

phased out and phased in are the difference.

god you sound arrogant...

no one stopped at midnight making vhs, the new tech crept in.

i have no issue with x264, i just have a problem with everything suddenly becoming the norm. like
tpb with magents. works great when you dont expect it and suddenly you cant send torrents to your
other machines.

gah, not only that, but i get things for my old mum, who has got old hardware, now i have to
reencode shit so she can watch it... or stick to torrentday.. where they still release avis.

*not having it shoved up my arse and not keeping quiet is me*
