edit: guess it's not that strange. wikipedia says that slot had hillstreet blues, la law, and er
there for 30 years. it's just recently that they've been all over the place with it.

from the description it seems they've turned hannibal into a cop show.. i guess tv land is having a
hard time coming up with anything else these days. i'll watch and see.

description at tvrage says that the characters are modeled on the novel red dragon and ratner's
movie version; why not the excellent mann version (manhunter)?

odd.

bates hotel turned out to be surprisingly good. maybe this will be too. i'll watch and find out.

having read the books, im a little annoyed by some choices they made, i mean laurence fishburne as
jack crawford? really? or that they made freddy lounds and alan bloom into female characters? lol!

but if you dont compare this show to the books by thomas harris, then it actually is pretty
entertaining. although i gotta say it seems to be moving a little fast, i wonder if it will continue
like this.

i for one will continue to watch, for now...

have to agree with norguy not what i would call must see tv need more episodes to make my mind up.
if you can't stand the wait over the weeks then leave it for now, i wont be in a rush to download
the next installation, i will give it a few weeks to build up then watch them on block.

same here...quite often with a new show i will download the first three or four episodes,
wait, read the reivewes, watch 3-4 episodes back to back, then decide.

i'm grateful to those who watch tv-shows weekly and provide feedback. however, not a big fan of
negative bitchy comments if/when the only reason for them is because a tv-show (or movie) is not as
good as 'the book'. -- tv-show and movies are not books. -- judge and comment on a tv-show (or
movie) on its own merits. <-- my two cents.

was actually a little bit disappointed after having watched the first episode here. had quite high hopes i
guess. the show is decent though, but definitely not great, not acting-wise either. and a bit sad about my
fellow danes accent when it comes to it. that's a minor detail of course, and it's probably worse for me
being danish myself and able to hear the underlying danish more clearly. all in all mads' dialog becomes
too monotonous for my taste.

going to watch the coming episodes though, and actually don't think it's as bad as some of the reviews
states so far. then again, it's quite hard to judge after just one episode.

so far quite decent at least 🙂

hope someone can use all my rambling to something btw. i know it's a bit hard to get anything out of
though... my bad ;p

hear hear! if you prefer the "book version", then go read books, stop comparing apples and oranges.
that's why i rarely read "the book" before i watch the tv show/movie.. well, that and outright laziness.

y'know, that's the first thing i thought as well.. having seen hopkins in the role so often, i was
hoping/expecting an english accent.

that being said, i liked the episode. it's twisted.
