no, new amsterdam the main character was immortal, but due to magic, not vampirism. he was
granted immorality because he saved the live of a native american girl. he will eventually age,
when he finds his one true love.
really the logical one would be vampire lawyer show.
a whole cast of blood sucking lawyers, and one of them's also a vampire.
this, is okay. this episode basically just introduces the characters and sets the scene for what's
to come through the series.
there are a few quirks that could make the show interesting in time, or cause the writers to
disappear up their own arses in a raging fit of conspiracy-theory-driven nonsense. it could go
either way at this point.
⚠ SPOILER ALERT - (Click to reveal)
van helsing's connection with dracula is probably the most interesting thing -- but as it's
only acknowledged in the dying seconds of the show, it's far too soon to tell if that will add
anything to the show.
though the order of the dragon stuff is in serious danger of becoming a horrible clich
surprised we've not had a show about a cop who is also a vampire.
i'd add blood ties to moonlight and forever night.
interesting trivia- here dracula is played by rhys meyers
who was henry viii on tudors. on the show blood ties,
the vampire was a bastard of henry viii.
