nice joke!

wow u get astounded easily. i never said that i actually downloaded it and i'm
not ignorant, i just did not find this joke funny. i have a good sense of humor
in that my jokes don't piss anyone off (they are funny to both sides). imo eztv
are the ones with a poor sense of humor needing to piss people off to get a laugh.

the thing that shits me is all the posts "well if u fell for it, your a fucking
idiot" etc, etc...

i didn't fall for it because i have been downloading t.v since south park season
5 but not all people have experience and many of my friends that know nothing
about computers download t.v but have no idea what is actually going on. this is
because i have told them "get utorrent and add mininova & eztv 2ur favorites" so
if they are not interested in computers and just want tv/movies/music it's
unfair to expect them to be able to spot a fake.

my point is not all people are experts and to flame them because they couldn't
spot the fake is silly. if your wife or girlfriend or parents etc ask you a very
simple (to you) question about a computer, do you call them fucking idiots too?

then those friends mentioned above hit me up the next day, saying "wow, i got
that lost file, i thought u said that site never has fakes?" and now question me
when i say "do this" or "go here" so just because i didn't download it doesn't
mean i can't be annoyed about it.

you say your entitled to a joke, which i agree with.
however i now look like a fool for vouching eztv and have already had someone
say "haha, just like eztv never has fakes?" thrown in my face when arguing with
1 of them.
so imo i was entitled to my rant before.


if i am wrong and eztv does more than just get the file from the groups and
index them in a torrent site, enlighten me.
rather than just chucking a few big words in a sentence: "your ignorance is
literally astounding."
- that statement is ignorant to me, did you reel back from your chair wide-eyed?
or did you just giggle a little bit? of course you did the later so you weren't
"literally astounded" at all.

rather than chucking more insults at me (that just make me laugh) why don't you
say what else you do? every time somebody whines about eztv wasting bandwidth
with files that need propers, an admin says "eztv does not cap these shows, we
just make & release the torrents." (not word 4 word but along those lines)
so if i am misinformed about what you actually do then it came from the admins.

i don't know, i guess i just got the feeling that the admins were showing
contempt to it's users by adding the fake file and while most of us could easily
pick it in a number of ways, some people couldn't and they would have been so
happy that they were getting a new lost.

yeh this is the point that i was making above. ok so most of us are into
computers or lost and read up on it.

most people don't read up on lost and know this stuff. (i did and i actually
feel like a loser for it, looking up stuff on a show rather than just watching
them when they come out)

-come on... some people come here just for the t.v they don't know how torrents
work. they would have simply used limewire before and would wonder why they
can't easily preview in the same way.

the 75k completed stat just shows that most people here don't know much about
computers, they are just frustrated t.v fans sick of waiting forever for certain
shows to come to their country.

thanks for wasting 400mb of my 12gb limit (up&down) this month, costing 45€
(60$) per month here in belgium (with telenet)

i suprises me that eztv that has been delivering quality always, drops the ball
here.

oh what i would give right now for a real pre-air of 4x09 to appear right now,
watch the chaos ensue then 😉

by the way, to the poster getting all wound up about latin. first of all, its
not a 'foreign' language just because its not english. second of all, anyone who
has studied some level of science or maths, especially in english speaking
countries, should have seen the phrase q.e.d. somewhere. and lastly, don't you
think its ironic that eztv is currently on an it domain? you know, it as in
italy? italy as in where latin originated.

btw, to not piss off poor humor impaired, they should have let the torrent there
but put a custom error message(in place of announcing too fast or other) saying
you've got fooled by eztv and not allow doenloading, that way poor aussies and
others would not cry (but this thread would be soooo less entertaining)

also, if really seeding the file, they should really have put the rick astley
vid in a loop for 350 mb, that and youtube would have been the biggest rick
rolling of the history (ie, google rick rolled more thatn 4 millions last time i
checked) and ez tv fooled like 60 000

good, so i enqueued the episode in my list and started reading the comments....
when i realized it was a prank, it had been almost 50%.... i canceled it, coz my
other half (the smart one), took control... 😉)
